We all like to feel great in our own skin, so its worth looking after.

Over the years I have put so many products on my skin that include so many chemicals so I was pleased to be introduced to Body Kind Holistic Salon a few years ago, different to any beauty salon I had been in before. Shall I say not your average ‘Essex Beauty Salon’ and you would agree as soon as you enter – there’s no fake tan booths, no false nails, no gossip gossip chat either. OK, it doesn’t suit everyone but it does I feel for the 30+ ladies and gents.

Why do I like it? It’s private and you’re made to feel so welcome, it doesn’t matter who you are, everyone is made to feel extra-special by Jill and her staff and it’s never too over-powering but calming and sincere.

When I first visited Jill Ingham at Body Kind, she started her thriving business well over a decade ago and this year her organic product range was launched, a relief to me products that I could trust.

No more need for Clarins, Dermalogica, Guinot plus so many others I’ve used over the years.

At home I enjoy using BEAUTY KIND ‘Rejuvenating Facial Radiance, Intensive Eye Serum, Rose Secrets and Coconut Oil Hand Creams, Nail Conditioning Oil, Immune Booster as well as Lavender Dream and Citrus Spa Foot Creams, not forgetting Facial Polisher.

Whilst visiting BODY KIND I enjoy the scented luxury skincare products. These are created by hand-blending aromatic plant ingredients and vitamin enriched oils, they indeed contain everything you need for healthy, radiant and beautiful skin.

Treatments I like to treat myself to are and I would definitely like to recommend:

Holistic Body Massage – A body massage can help to reduce mental and physical tension. Your treatment will be personally tailored to target areas of tension, fatigue and stiffness.

Hot Stone Massage – A stimulating and detoxifying treatment. Warm aromatic oils are gently drizzled over the body and massaged into the body using smooth, warm volcanic stones.

Reflexology - To promote good health and vitality. Specialised massage techniques are applied on the feet to stimulate and encourage self-healing, balance and relaxation within the body.

Hopi Ear Candling (this is with face and scalp massage too)
A native American tradition. A hollow candle crates a chimney effect drawing out impurities and can help to ease sinus congestion, catarrh and that blocked feeling. Great before a flight.

Sheer Indulgence – Experience an aromatherapy facial, scalp and back massage using pure essential oils, flower essences and acupressure techniques for sheer relaxation and well-being.

Pure Bliss – Begin with a relaxing back, neck and shoulder massage to ease excess tensions in the body. When you are feeling totally relaxed your Therapist will perform an aromatherapy facial, which includes a cleanse, massage and masque. As the masque replenishes your skin with nourishing aromatic oils, you will receive a warm oil hand and nail treatment.

Body Kind Well-Being – A top to toe full body aromatherapy massage using Body Kind’s own blend of rose oils – BEAUTY KIND GENTLE SKINCARE RANGE. This treatment is the perfect choice when you and your body just want to feel totally relaxed and chilled.

I have also combined a treatment to suit what my body needs at the time.

Body Kind Facial – A pampering aromatic facial using rich moisturising and nourishing plant oils, selected for their ‘natural lifting’ properties. This facial concentrates on facial massage to stimulate and encourage radiant looking skin.

Body Kind Mini-Facial – This mini facial includes a deep cleanse aromatic facial massage and moisturising treatment to help smooth fine lines.

There’s so many waxing treatments, eye treatments too which I haven’t personally had.

Cosmetic Blemish Removal – Removal of skin tags, facial thread veins, milia, blood spots and more.

I had a mole removed and I was so impressed and pain-free.

And there are SHELLAC manicure and pedicures as well as Fake Bake Body Bronzing for those that choose.
